  • Reddit - just copy a subreddit URL, Octomat will convert it to a feed link automatically
  • Mastodon - add .rss to any Mastodon profile URL, e.g. https://mastodon.social/@Mastodon.rss
  • Twitter/X - find a profile you want to follow and add /rss at the end of the URL, e.g. https://nitter.1d4.us/elonmusk/rss
  • Tumblr - browse to the profile you want to subscribe to so that the URL is https://{profile-name}.tumblr.com and add /rss to the URL, e.g. https://happyllamaglama.tumblr.com/rss

Blogs #

  • Substack - add /feed to the substack you subscribe to, e.g. https://{substack-name}.substack.com/feed
  • Medium - for subdomain links like https://{blogname}.medium.com -> https://{blogname}.medium.com/feed. For links like https://medium.com/@{blogname} -> https://medium.com/@{blogname}

Video streams #

  • Youtube - open any channel URL like https://yotube.com/@YOUR_CHANNEL and subscribe to it in Octomat
  • Vimeo - just add /videos/rss to the URL of a Vimeo channel

Music #

  • Spotify - you can subscribe to new artist releases by pasting the artist URL to Octomat such as https://open.spotify.com/artist/1vCWHaC5f2uS3yhpwWbIA6. You can also subscribe to new tracks in playlists by pasting the playlist URL such as https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DXcBWIGoYBM5M.

Photo streams #

  • Flickr - paste user photo stream URL to idGettr to get a user-ID and replace {user-ID} with the value you got in the following Atom feed URL: https://www.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?id={user-ID}&lang=en-us&format=atom
  • Pinterest - just add /feed.rss at the end of a user profile or board URL
